Artistic, unusual, and full of unexpected and entreating details this decor concept of a Brazilian home carried out by Consuelo Jorge is something worth exploring closer. The interactive, comfort-emanating project of a loft is created for Brazil’s annual design event – the Casacor and aims to show how easily modern technology, comfort, and trendy design style can be entwined with natural, sustainable elements. Apart from the exquisite organic and locally soused materials selection for the decor, even small defiles aim for minimal impact – including the linear fireplace, carved into a concrete facade, powered by natural gas.

Inspired by the new wave in decor stylistics (the “Planet House” theme) the project offers such an entreating aery of artistic details, elegant combinations between sleek technology and warm rural and organic elements, that the even the examination of each detail will not let you miss the whole place’s welcoming and sophisticated vibe. Combining ( at first glance) opposite materials and textures- cool, urban concrete with a sloping arch of bamboo timber, primitive textures such as stone, clay and linen fibers with marble insertions (just check this gorgeous freestanding bathtub ) the creator achieved eclectic decor richness that offers unexpected comfort.

This dynamics of materials, colors and textures gives a specific character and life to the whole decor project – glass tables with decorative brass insertions, jazzy brass and porcelain lamps on extensive wooden cladding, clay and stone decorative details entwined with abundance of fresh green plants – as we said before; artistic and unique character for a new-age home design project exhibiting features from Brazilian, Australian and European design stylistics.

In the open-plan exposition of bedroom and bathroom premises (another trendy wave of modern design projects) the Corian bench unit with mirror, shelves and thermal towel rack introduces the ‘Wave’ collection, designed by Consuelo Jorge for Metalworks.

Another trendy and characteristic focal piece in this arrangement is the trendy canopy bed – providing gentile shelter for a perfect relaxation experience. Oversized wooden platform with rich textural components and organic feel gives a refuge like vibe establishing its focal presence amongst two other characteristic decor details: the marble bathtub and the exuberant richens of the Flos glass chandelier hanging above a brass and green quartzite table.

Handmade and high-tech insertions, organic and trendy stylistics coexist in this loft project in artistic and comfort providing way – a perfect balance for a dynamic modern lifestyle. Photos by Fran Parente;
