Floating House in Arnhem


Looking for something unusual yet inspired and ultra-fashionable? Maybe this project by quub interior concepts the floating home is such a thing? A boat house that offers amazing and creative solutions for its interior, rich textures. Some drawing an inspiration from the water’s life, in that count the patterns of fishermen’s nets and the skin of the mermaid – trendy shapes, custom-made fittings, and colors.

A project that is so rich and expressive that a more detailed look is just a must. And, of course, for those who are curious – the location of this unusual home on the water is the Netherlands, more specifically – Arnhem. Transforming the arch into a fully functional modern home with terraces, levels and layering of the decor, floor-to-ceiling windows, and French doors- it was a challenge bested in an inspired and creative way.

In fact, exploring only the interior composition one will never guess this home is a boat. Spacious and full of light with easy passages between premises, custom-made fittings – just check out the modern and elegant kitchen composition – the home offers a great variety of intriguing textures and color combinations.

Smooth gray in different hues – varying form trendy dark charcoal to light dove gray in the fashionable modular sofa in the living room- are forming a comfy and inviting contemporary ambiance. The color selection is accentuated with sunny, mustard yellow textile additions and water life inspired patterns. Delicate, colored glass decoration elements, watercolors: blue, green, gray and purple and interesting patterns connect the interior with its beautiful natural surroundings.
