This modern, functional and stylish apartment is located in Kiev, Ukraine and is designed by local architectural studio Lugerin Architects. The design drowned our attention with its mild, soft shapes, rich textures and welcoming, cozy emanation. The combination of trendy design elements, open sunny premises and clever architectural solutions turns this space into contemporary interior design example of functionality and style. The architectural layout of the apartment concedes the opportunity of open inner connected living premise where the connection between the kitchen, dining and sitting zone is easy going and natural.
The architects chose to minimalistic adorn the premise with the usage of the main cladding materials; alternating wood and blue-gray functional surfaces (in this count the heating wall radiators) – the color composition of the living space is decided. The duality of the main color choices is framed by black and white ornaments (like the lighting solutions sustained in the 60ts aesthetes hanging above the dining table) and is spiced up by the presence of comfy –looking red chairs designed in different shapes and spread throughout the apartment. The modified sofa makes the unusual connection between the dining table, (where the construct is facing with its bench addition) and the soft sitting area. Another clever architectural solution is the vast mirror that serves bout as a space defined and as a visual extension of the premise.
An interesting solution is applied in the bathroom – a glass partition separates the bath and the shower from the rest of the granite monochromatic space. The simplicity of the color scheme (that varieties in its dominating colors between the privet and public spaces – light compositions in the first and more gray based in the latter) the softness and contemporary functionality of shapes, textures and design elements and of course the good quality of the materials, turns this apartment into very welcoming and pleasant place to inhabit.
