A Hint of Asian Stylistic in a Small Holiday Apartment

0

Elegant contemporary beauty with a hint of Asian stylistic in a small holiday apartment. While refurbishing this tiny holiday apartment – only 50 m², located near Varadero beach, in Santa Pola, Alicante, Spain. The team from Manuel García Asociados used expressive contemporary functionalism with elegant Asian hints and clear-lined design to accomplish a sense of calm and clean environment.

Interconnecting the premises through the usage of continues materials palette: mainly the wooden structures and cladding; also the link between the bathroom and the kitchen – both coated with the same white ceramic with the joints decided in a darker tone which creates an attractive effect. The open layout of the kitchen, dining and living zones is also a knack in that direction. The modular furniture (custom made for this apartment) that composes the siting area transfuse from a large cozy gray sofa into a wooden bench that is anchored to the wall and serves as support to the table, replacing the traditional chairs.

The stylish entwinement of black and gray color accents happens on the base of gorgeous wooden cladding, custom-made structures and furniture. Elegant design furniture pieces like the Sancal coffee tables in the living room, or the trendy lamps and lighting solutions – Flos, Gibas; throughout the apartment give elegant, modern feel and artistic accent to the design composition. The two wooden and glass lattices that play the role of doors and separate the bedrooms and the bathroom area carry a characteristic emphasis. The L-shaped whiteness of the custom made kitchen corner gives dynamic contrast with the intensity and warmth of the wooden cladding.  Photography by Diego Opazo
