The place is designed by Einstein & Associates with a rich palette of natural materials, with lush vegetation and harmonious gardens as an integral part of the design concept and with blurred borders between in and out premises- all this gives spaciousness and rich deep connection between the dining experience and its natural beautiful surroundings. Additionally contemporary tropical architecture with splashes of rich colors, playful and artistic furniture and signature elements add to the unique spirit of the space.

Different mosaic ornaments – from peacock floor design to a sea-shells stone cladding adorn the three floor premises of the restaurant. The cool tranquility of the rooftop terrace, the open fresh view and ambiance of the second floor or the welcoming tropical warmth of the first-floor zone are all decorated in colorful artistic design. Natural materials like wood, stone and terracotta tiles are mixed with modern plastic elements entwined in interesting shapes and colors and all this balanced with more neutral elements like the raw concrete ceiling or bricks floor. The old name of the region from the Dutch colonial era, means a place “without a care”- so a visitor of the restaurant surrounded by the warm ambiance of the materials, the dynamic energization of the artistic shapes and colors, and the refreshing greenery of the nature can easily fill the way that the name suggest.   Photographs: William Kalengkongan
