Extra Dose of ‘Cuddly’ into Modern Furniture

0

The Austrian designers of Hans Sapperlot have given traditional loden fabric a modern makeover by making ‘invisible stitches’ in its material so it can be used as chairs, carpets, lamps and much more. The water resistant fabric comes from the coarse, oily wool of mountain sheep. Its bluish green texture is taken through a thorough shrinking process to give it its dense felt touch and it is also used in conventional Tyrolese fashion. Hans Sapperlot mixes its wooly material with the old embroidery smock technique to create a soft, biodegradable fabric comfy enough to add an extra dose of ‘cuddly’ into modern furniture. via
