Soft Geometry Furniture
17.02.2012
The furniture by Christian Dorn is clear and authentic rather than complicated or exotic. With material combinations of metal and wool, fabric or leather coverings, Dorn wants to create a symbiosis between the surface of the seat and the frame. The installation focuses on a straightforward interpretation of armchairs and two- or 3-seater sofas. Cosiness and comfort are meant to be uppermost in the designs – the soft geometry with its flowing forms is not intended to be overly dominant. Sculptural occasional tables made of Carrara marble from Italy add the finishing touches to the collection. via
