Bask Collection
27.05.2011
German designer Sebastian Herkner‘s ‘Bask collection’ stems from a trip he made to a company producing paper yarn – by using water power – in Spain. Collaborating with a basket maker of Bavaria and the paper manufacturer, Herkner developed a special technique in which he could use the yarns for three-dimensional objects. A steel metal grid supporting the yarn which is woven in and out of the frame, shaping the baskets and bowls. Designed to store things, the ‘bask’ objects can also be used upside down as small tables. via
