Modern House on the Island
27.01.2010
The house is sheathed with metal plates corten steel. Brown rust-tone facade harmoniously joined in a soft, calm tone of the Baltic sea. All the tall windows and doors closed by steel perforated with automatic shutters. The interior echoes the exterior: open design and rough texture in the industrial style. The brickwork is covered white paint, so that the texture is visible. Also finished all the new load-bearing walls and ceilings. Reinforced concrete ceiling panels and beams only slightly restored and maintained almost its original appearance. Bearing rails on the ceiling of the original bluish color just washed and covered with furniture wax.
