With the renovation of the spa in Bad Salzuflen by Vitor 4a Architekten of Stuttgart has been extended not only the balneological offer of salvation. To input, consider a restaurant, and outdoor bathing hall to a design unit together, was installed a wood lamella structure as continuous ceiling or wall covering. The wooden structure spanning the entire interior with soft, flowing, curvilinear forms along the edges of space. the architects in collaboration with lighting designer and artist-designed “rain cloud” forms a striking accent in the bathing. Not only by the powerful rainstorm that “from the” cloud raining down, but also by the accompanying light games in bright colors.
